About Stacia

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Atlanta Metro area. As a former teacher, I have over 10 years experience supporting children and families with complex needs in a variety of settings. I am trained in multiple modalities (ARC, DBT, CBT, and TF-CBT) and use an integrative, play based approach in my work with children. I believe strongly in the therapeutic powers of play and believe that play is the most effective way to support children in expressing themselves and processing their emotions and experiences.

I have experience supporting children and families experiencing the following challenges:

  • Trauma
  • Grief/Loss
  • Behavioral Challenges
  • ADHD
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Managing life transitions (recent move, change in family structure)

In addition, I have experience working with neurodiverse children and families and am a certified AutPlay provider, an affirming approach designed to support the specific needs of neurodiverse children.

If you are unsure if I am able to support your specific needs, reach out for a free 15 minute phone consultation. I am happy to see if it would be a good fit, and if not, I will provide a referral to a provider who can meet your needs.
